Description

The MLC-XM is an uncompromising applicant-centred control system puts an end to the previous restrictions with respect to openness and scalability. The system enables operators to realize various automation applications with only one motion kernel. From simple cartesian handling tasks to complex robot applications through to highly dynamic machines. XM/MLC strengths are particularly noticeable with  complex multi-axis applications with high requirements to coordinated movements and synchronism, and the system is an optimum solution for the operator with respect to installation space, function, and economic efficiency.

The compact control platform XM family provides the latest hardware technology in a robust housing in the S20 format. It combines the excellent real-time capability of the Sercos automation bus and the flexibility and high performance of the I/O family S20 to a modular and complete automation system.

Sercos Onboard, PROFIBUS and Multi-Ethernet optional

Easy extension of functions with extension modules (communication, technology)

Simple I/O integration through direct connection of S20 I/O modules or by integrating decentralized I/O stations via different fieldbuses.

Fast I/O real-time data processing in various operating modes (asynchronous, isochronous, cycle-synchronous)

User Memory for code and Data is 36 MB to 1GB.

Total Memory is 0.5 t0 2GB.
